Your half of the job
The hour after the box opens decides whether the flowers peak on your date or three days before it. Instructions come in the box.

Unpack the moment it lands
Do not leave the box until morning because you are tired. Cut the ties, lay stems out by type, and get them into water. Every hour out of water comes off the far end.

Strip everything below the waterline
Every leaf. Submerged foliage rots within a day and feeds the bacteria that blocks the stem. This is the tedious step and it is the one with the biggest payoff.

Cut an inch off at 45°
Sharp knife or floral cutters, never household scissors. Those crush the channel closed. Cut tulips straight across, and carnations between the nodes.

Cool water, flower food, deep enough
Four to six inches for most things. Hydrangea wants six-plus and constant topping up. Tulips want three to four. Deep water makes them go limp.

Submerge hydrangea heads for 20 minutes
Hydrangea drinks through its petals as well as its stem. In Colorado's dry air this step matters more than any other. If a head wilts later, re-cut and submerge for an hour. It usually comes back.

Then leave them alone overnight
Twelve hours minimum before you touch them. Roses need 24 to 48 hours to open properly. This is why we deliver early.
Substitutions and freshness claims
Variety yes, colour never
If a named rose variety falls short at the farm, you get a different rose in the same colour at equal or better grade. You do not get pink, and you do not get a call the day before asking you to choose between two roses you have never heard of. Anything bigger than a variety swap, we ask first.
24-hour claim window
Photograph the problem and contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We replace, credit or refund the affected stems. Your call. Because we are local, replacement is usually a real option rather than a refund you cannot use.
The window exists because after roughly a day it becomes impossible to tell a transit problem from a conditioning problem.
Lead time
10 to 14 days, because the order goes to the farm against your specific date. Delivery is quoted by zone and itemised on the same quote.
For a summer or autumn Saturday, book six to eight months out. Delivery capacity fills long before the flowers do.
