Questions

If your question is not here, ask it,hello@rockymountainflowers.com or (303) 555-0142. We answer honestly, including when the answer is no.

Ordering

What areas do you deliver to?
The Colorado Front Range and the mountain towns. Denver, Boulder, Longmont and Castle Rock are our closest zone; Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley are a second; Vail, Summit County, Estes Park and canyon venues are quoted per event because the drive is long and weather-dependent. If your town is not on that list it is probably still in range, so ask.
Do you take small events?
Yes. Elopements, intimate weddings and small memorial services are normal orders here, not exceptions we make. Most quality Colorado studios set minimums that rule those out. Ours is set low enough that they do not.
Do you sell loose stems as well as finished arrangements?
Yes, and a single order can be split between the two. Bulk stems for the reception tables, designed florals for the bridal party, one delivery and one invoice. A national bulk site cannot make you a bouquet, and a traditional florist will not sell you loose stems.
What does it cost?
Every quote is custom and comes back within one business day. We work well below traditional full-service florist pricing, without the minimums most studios require, because we are studio-based with no storefront to carry. Send us your date, your city and roughly what you need, and you get an itemised figure rather than a range.
How far in advance should I book?
Bulk stems need 10 days and designed work needs 14. Those are minimums rather than recommendations. For a summer or autumn Saturday on the Front Range we would rather have your order six to eight months out, because our delivery capacity on peak dates fills long before the flowers run short. Sympathy orders are exempt.
My service is in a few days. Can you help?
Probably, and you should call rather than use the form. We hold capacity for sympathy work so our published lead times do not have to apply to it. Call (303) 555-0142 and we will tell you honestly what we can do, including when the answer is no.
What happens if a flower I ordered is not available?
We substitute variety, never colour. If your order calls for blush roses and a named variety falls short at the farm, you get a different blush rose of equal or better grade. You will not get pink, and you will not get a phone call the day before asking you to choose between two roses you have never heard of. Anything larger than a variety swap, we contact you first.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. We work by order and appointment from a studio, and we do not sell walk-in bouquets, potted plants or giftware. Having no storefront is a large part of why the work costs what it does.
How many stems will I need?
A bridal bouquet takes 25 to 35 stems, a bridesmaid bouquet 12 to 18, a low centerpiece 15 to 25, and a boutonniere one stem plus greenery. Our stem calculator works it out from your guest and table counts, and every quote we send includes a line-by-line count you can check.
Do I need to buy vases and supplies for a bulk order?
Yes. We deliver stems, not hardware. You will need buckets for conditioning, sharp cutters or a knife, flower food, and containers for whatever you are building. Designed arrangements arrive in a standard vessel, or in your own containers if you get them to us a week ahead.
Can you handle a recurring order for our office or restaurant?
Yes, and it is a meaningful part of what we deliver. Weekly or biweekly arrangements run on a standing schedule with an agreed palette rotation, several locations on one route, and a single monthly invoice.
Can I order the exact arrangement I see in a photo?
Yes, within what the season allows. Send us the images you like and we build the quote around them: same palette, same shape, sized to your tables. Where a specific flower is out of season we substitute variety rather than colour and tell you before you approve anything.
How and when do I pay?
We quote first and invoice after you approve it. A deposit confirms your date and the balance is due before delivery. We never collect card details through this website: the form has no payment field and never will.

Delivery

Do you deliver, or do I collect?
We deliver. Every order travels refrigerated from our cooler to the address you give us, on a date you choose. There is no shop to collect from, and cold chain is the single biggest factor in how long cut flowers last.
When will my flowers arrive?
Designed arrangements arrive on the day of your event, finished and ready to place. Bulk stems arrive two to three days beforehand, which is not us being early. Flowers ship closed and need a day or two in water to open. You pick a date and an AM or PM window, and we confirm a narrower window 48 hours ahead.
How is this different from ordering bulk flowers online?
We hand you the box cold, on a date you chose, and we can fix a problem the same day. A national bulk site puts stems in a carton and hands it to a carrier: it arrives when it arrives, sometimes warm, sometimes crushed, and a refund does not fix your Saturday. That difference is the whole reason to buy bulk locally.
What if something arrives damaged?
Photograph it and contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We replace, credit or refund the affected stems, your choice. Because we are local, replacement is usually a real option rather than a refund you cannot use. The 24-hour window exists because after that it becomes impossible to tell a transit problem from a conditioning problem.
Do you deliver to mountain venues?
Yes, by arrangement rather than as a standing route. Vail, Summit County, Estes Park and canyon addresses need a confirmed window and an on-site contact, because the drive is long and weather-dependent. We will not leave a refrigerated order unattended at a mountain venue.

Pricing

Why are you less than a full-service florist?
We have no storefront. A traditional florist's price carries retail rent, walk-in staffing, display stock and the waste that comes with it. We work by order and appointment from a studio, using the same designers and the same farm-direct product. It is a lower overhead, not a lower standard.

Quality and substitutions

How long will the flowers last?
Between three and twenty-one days, depending on the flower and on conditioning. Carnations, alstroemeria, spider mums and poms run 10 to 14 days. Roses run 5 to 7. Hydrangea and tulips are shortest at 3 to 7. Greenery runs 14 to 21. Every product page lists its own range.
Are your flowers grown in Colorado?
Some are, seasonally. Colorado's climate does not support year-round commercial cut-flower production at event volume, so a July order carries more Colorado-grown product than a February one. What is true year-round is farm-direct sourcing rather than a wholesaler-to-retailer chain, which is where the freshness comes from. Ask about your month and we will give you the real answer.

Everything else

Who are Rocky Mountain Flowers?
A studio-based Colorado florist that delivers wedding, sympathy and event flowers across the Front Range and the mountain towns. We do designed floral work and we sell farm-direct stems by the bunch, and a single order can be split between the two. There is no shop, no walk-in counter, and no minimum that rules out a small wedding.
Are the photographs on this site your own work?
Not yet, and we label them rather than bury it in the small print. We are early, and the gallery currently runs on stock photography standing in for layout. Every image is replaced with our own Colorado event photography as we shoot it. We would rather be slow about that than present someone else's work as ours.
Do you have reviews?
Not published ones yet. We will put a review on this site when a real client has written one and given us permission to use it, with their name on it. Until then the trust bar and the schema on this site both report zero rather than a number we invented.
